HCMCONS – A Hub of Expertise, Integrating Resources to Shape the Future of Urban Development!

On November 29, 2025, the inaugural congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Construction Science and Technology Association (HCMCONS) was held at Bcons City, marking the establishment of the largest professional organization in the Southeast region’s construction sector. This milestone follows the strategic merger of three associations—Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria–Vung Tau—aimed at consolidating intellectual resources, enterprises, and regulatory bodies to jointly drive the development of Ho Chi Minh City as a mega-urban center.

HCMCONS – A Strategic Organization for a New Era

Ho Chi Minh City is entering a phase of spatial restructuring under a polycentric urban model, with an economic scale accounting for over 23% of Vietnam’s GDP and a population approaching 14 million. The surging demand for transportation infrastructure, housing, public facilities, and construction materials requires the industry to embrace standardization, modernization, and sustainability.

HCMCONS is expected to serve as a key advisory and scientific review body, acting as a bridge between technical experts, businesses, and government authorities to enhance planning quality, accelerate technology adoption, and promote sustainable urban development.

Amid the formal proceedings of the congress, HCMCONS proudly welcomed Mr. Nguyễn Minh ThôngAssistant to the General Director of Terra Yamaken Concrete JSC as an official member.

The participation of Terra Yamaken—a pioneer in high-performance concrete—underscores its commitment to partnering with HCMCONS in standardizing production processes, implementing advanced technologies, and promoting green materials.

Mr. Nguyễn Minh Thông stated: “We believe that joining HCMCONS will open up extensive collaboration opportunities, enabling us to drive technological innovation, improve construction quality, and contribute to the sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City.
